Reporting a repair: what counts as an emergency?

Most repairs are best reported through the tenant portal. Some cannot wait. Here is how to tell the difference — and what to do first.

We want every repair fixed quickly, and the fastest route depends on how urgent it is.

Call us straight away for

  • Water leaks you cannot stop, or water coming through a ceiling or wall.
  • A complete loss of power in your home (after checking the main breaker).
  • A smell of gas or burning, sparking sockets or exposed wiring.
  • A broken main door lock that leaves your home unsecured.
  • No water at all in the home.

Call the office on +971 2 666 7719. If there is any risk to people — fire, smoke or a serious electrical fault — call emergency services first (999 for police, 997 for civil defence), then call us.

What to do while you wait

  • Leak: turn off the water at the stop valve (usually near the kitchen, the water heater or the bathroom) and move belongings away.
  • Electrical fault: switch off the affected circuit at the breaker board. Do not touch damaged sockets.
  • AC dripping: switch the unit off and place a container underneath.

Report everything else in the portal

Dripping taps, a slow drain, an AC that is not cooling well, a door that sticks, a light that has stopped working — these go in the Maintenance section of your tenant portal at portal.rmove.ae. Add a clear description and where in the home it is. You will see the status change as our team schedules and completes the work.

Help us help you

Report small problems early. A slow drip today is a stained ceiling next month — and an early repair is quicker for you and better for the building.
